How to make ‘Naadan Sambar’?

Hello Dear Friends, This is the 2nd video of my onam series 2022. In this video I show you easy way to make naadan sambar. I Hope you guys enjoy the video.

Sambar is a lentil-based vegetable stew, cooked with pigeon pea and tamarind broth. It is popular in South Indian cusine. Its a definite part of South Indian Meals. Sometimes Sambar is used for breakfast also. Traditionally sambar is always made with tur dal. Even moong dal or masoor dal can be used to make sambhar.

Ingredients which I used for preparing Naadan Sambar mentioned below :-

Sambar Parippu – 2 Cups
cluster bean ( AMARAKA ) – 10 – 15 nos
Small onion – 8 – 10 nos
Brinjal – 3 nos ( medium )
Colocasia (Chempu) – 7 – 10 nos
Snake gourd – 1 Cup
cucumber – 1 1/2 Cup
Asafoetida – 1 Gooseberry Size
Water – 7 – 8 Cups
Turmeric powder – 3/4 tsp
Coriander Powder – 5 tbs
Kashmiri chilli powder – 3 – 4 tbs
Tamarind – One Gooseberry size
Salt( according to taste )
Sambar Chillies – 4 – 6 nos
Drumstick – 3 nos
Ladysfinger – 6 nos
Fenugreek powder – 1/4 – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 2 tbs
Mustard Seeds – 1 1/2 tsp
Small onion – 5 – 6 nos
Curry Leaves
Dry red chillies – 3 nos.
